At Prayerful Breath Yoga, we strive to offer more than just another yoga class. Our aim is to give each student an opportunity to make a spiritual connection. Every class begins with a centering meditation, focusing on God’s presence with us.
Karelin teaches her classes with an emphasis on proper alignment and breathing. Her teaching style often makes use of props such as blocks, straps, and blankets as aids in performing the poses. The props help the student perform the poses with proper alignment minimizing the risk of injury or strain and makes the postures accessible to students of all abilities.
This slower paced class introduces fundamental Hatha poses with an emphasis on alignment, breathing and gaining strength and flexibility. Beginning with a meditative warm-up, the class will include basic sun salutations, standing poses, balances, gentle backbends, twists, supported inversions, and restorative poses. Props and modifications are encouraged for a safe and stable practice. Beginning level class.
Tone & Flow
This Hatha vinyasa flow class brings breath and movement together with an emphasis on gaining strength and flexibility. Beginning with a meditative warm-up, the class will include sun salutations, standing poses, balances, heart openers, gentle backbends, twists, simple inversions, and restorative poses. Guidance is given for the use of props and modifications. Intermediate level class.
